If you were not present last Sunday our WHY NOT topic was about Worship. We discussed WHY and HOW we can worship God in various ways, understanding that we are all created to worship. Why, there are so many occasions when people gather to cheer on sports, celebrities and the like. Why is that? Maybe for some there is a void to fill. There is something spiritual when we gather together to express our passion. Romans 12:1 says we are to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice-this being our spiritual act of worship. Jesus’ death did away with sacrifice and ritual as we are now called to worship in spirit and in truth as seen in John 4:23. Something stirs and shifts as we worship and shift from self to God. God is bigger than what you are facing. Remember your weapons for warfare-the Bible, prayer and worship.
